¡Tengo un amigo alemán! (Roland the 'Bavarian' and the Spanish party)

Hi, dear followers!

What happens with your life? Are you enjoying the spring? Now is the BBQ season in Sweden and everybody is a bit more positive and friendly (warm temperatures make miracles here). My life has the same routine than usual: papers, some parties, training and some barbecues.

The last week was quite important: Roland ('The evil Bavarian') visited us and it was celebrated the legen...wait for it!...dary Spanish Party.

Two important events in our strange Swedish life. Roland was welcomed like he deserved. Some of the most mythical (and survivors) scoundrel Vallgataners went fast to meet him again and bum some of his lovely Bratwurst and German Pretzles. It is not necessary saying that I was on time for this moment.

Luis and Roland smile while I am taking advantage eating their food...! (They are so ingenuous!)

Meeting Roland (Rolando for the Spaniards) was a great pleasure. Always is good meeting with old friends but besides Roland symbolizes perfectly the best values of Vallgataners: party animal, always good mood, hilarious and incredible patient with Spanish people way of speaking english. It was like back to the past for few days.

Roland came back to his natural habitat (Stallarna, pronounced 'Estallarna' for us) and demonstrated the he keeps fit. Moreover, he was witness of one the biggest after-party surprise ever: a lovely hedgehog! Unfortunately I wasn't there (trainings are destroying me) but thanks to Facebook I can see this magic moment.

By the way, the last thursday was the Spanish Party. The brave Spaniards worked hard to prove that when we are willing we are able to prepare great parties (and better food). It was really successful (exchange students are starving!) and the food dissapeared in few minutes: paella, gazpacho, salmorejo, Spanish omelette, 'pan con tumaca', 'jamón', were the main courses. I had training (surprise!) at this time, but the lovely, and great, Alba and Esther saved some food for me (definitely I'm falling in love, thanks girls).
Some of you would be asking what was my contribution (conscious that I'm not an expert cook)...

Some of the most dangerous exchange students: watch out!

Well, I made a really typical Spanish sweet for Easter: Torrijas. I have to admit that preparing around sixty 'torrijas' was harder than I expected. But after seeing how the people fought for them it worth. Although my kitchen was a completely mess (I was hurry for the training)...

Torrijas: a healthy and awesome Spanish sweet!
Posing in a creepy way!

By the way, one day ago was the Luis' birthday. Luis is another legendary Vallgataner and one my best friends here (despite detesting 'Raúl') and we prepared a small surprise for him. The giant boxing gloves were loved by him (he was like five minutes hitting me with them).
I know, some people are blurry (despite using my new tripod). I'm sorry!

To conclude, it was a really good week (Friday and Saturday's night were quite good too). I have to congratulate all the Spanish family for the great job made for the party and thank Roland his back to Växjö.

See you in the pubs! New misadventures and misfortunes are coming soon! Be good!
